Join the Credit Union Movement!
Credit unions operate under the philosophy of “people helping people”. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, there are no shareholders who expect a return on their investment. Instead, each member/account holder in the credit union is an equal owner. Credit union operations are overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected by the members. As a result, you save through lower loan interest rates, higher deposit rates and lower service fees.
Who Can Join?
Anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers or attends school in Jefferson County is able to join Kit FCU. Immediate family of Kit members can also join the credit union and open accounts/loans. Once you become a member of the credit union, you can remain a member for life! Regardless of where life may take you or where you may move, as long as your account remains open and active you can always take advantage of our personal service and excellent rates.
How to Join
When you open a Primary Savings, with a minimum $5 deposit, you become a member of the credit union. At the same time, you can choose to open additional Savings accounts, a free Checking account and apply for one of our competitive-rate loans.
To open an account, you may start the process by completing the online membership application below. Or, stop by the branch during operating hours to open your account in-person.
